ABOUT KATHRYN 

I am a part time artist working out of my studio on the Antrim coast in Northern Ireland.
As a child, I was inspired by my father's beautiful oil paintings and watercolour landscapes. I use a variety of art media; including watercolour, inks, acrylics, soft pastel, oil pastels, charcoals and digital media. I love experimenting and trying new things!
I'm passionate about the beautiful country we live in, and I want to paint art which shows the very best of our scenery, from peat bogs and hulking mountains and hills, to impressive sea cliffs and stunning sandy beaches. No matter whether the sun is shining or the hills are shrouded in thick fog and rainclouds, there is so much beauty to be seen in our wee country!Especially in the current times, I think it's so important to remind ourselves to find the beautiful things around us and not take our surroundings for granted.
I’m also fascinated by local history and am currently working on a series of artworks tentatively titled “Larne: Past and Present”. Keep an eye out for pieces as I add them here!
